FLANAGAN RALPH ELIAS FLENNIKEN. (LEAD-ARR)

Lorain, Ohio. 16/4/1914. – Miami, Florida. 30/12/1995.

Musicista che dal 1937 al 1941 ha lavorato come pianista e arrangiatore nell’orchestra di Sammy Kaye. Presto il suo talento di arrangiatore è stato apprezzato, ed ha collaborato con molte orchestre tra le migliori dell’epoca, con Charlie Barnet, con Boyd Raeburn, con Alvino Rey, con Tony Pastor e con Hal McIntyre. Dal 1942 al 1946 ha prestato il servizio militare su navi mercantili. Finito il servizio militare è stato assunto da Perry Como per il suo “Chesterfield Supper Club Show”. Nel 1948 ha organizzato una sua orchestra che oltre ad un contratto con la RCA, si è esibito in molti locali e programmi radiofonici di successo. Ha continuato ad avere successo soprattutto come arrangiatore per il resto della sua vita.
